The Objective of Ladli Laxmi Yojana

It is a widely known fact that there are many families in the state of Madhya Pradesh who, due to being financially weak, cannot offer the blessing of higher education to their daughters, nor are they able to put together enough money for their marriage.

Many people also discriminate between boys and girls, and such blatant sexism is especially prevalent in rural areas. Given all these problems, the state government has started the Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2023, providing financial assistance for the education and marriage of the daughter under this scheme.

Under this scheme, the MP government makes a whole-hearted effort to mitigate the plight of such girls and their families and helps them aspire for a better future. The girl can use this money for her higher education or matrimonial purposes. This scheme also aims to reduce the sex ratio of women and men in Madhya Pradesh and promote women's empowerment in the state.
